Overview

Succimer, used with calcium and ascorbic acid, was more effective in treating mildly lead-poisoned mice and preschool children than succimer alone. The combined treatment group showed significantly greater reduction in blood lead levels and a higher percentage of children with blood lead levels less than 10 μg/dL at the end of therapy.
