Overview

Propantheline and hexocyclium were more effective than isopropamide in decreasing salivary flow and increasing riboflavin absorption. Propantheline was more effective than hexocyclium in suppressing salivary flow, but both drugs had similar effects on riboflavin absorption. Prolonged-release formulations did not provide prolonged anticholinergic effects.
