Overview

Azacitidine is a promising treatment option for chronic myelomonocytic leukemia (CMML). This study of 48 CMML patients showed high overall response rates to azacitidine, with a trend toward longer survival compared to best supportive care and hydroxyurea. Azacitidine appears to be a safe and effective treatment for both myelodysplastic and myeloproliferative CMML.
