Overview

Medulloblastoma (MB) is a type of brain tumor that is especially aggressive in children. Survivin is a protein that promotes cell survival and is often found at high levels in MB cells. This study found that blocking Survivin in MB cells reduced tumor growth in both mice and human cell lines. This suggests that targeting Survivin may be a promising therapeutic approach for MB.
