Overview

This study describes the development of an optimized nanostructured lipid carrier (NLC) formulation for intra-articular administration of naproxen (NPX). The NLC-NPX formulation provided sustained delivery of NPX and significantly reduced leukocytes migration and pro-inflammatory cytokine levels in a rat model of acute inflammatory temporomandibular joint (TMJ) nociception.
