Overview

This case study reports a patient with manic-depressive illness who developed neuropsychiatric side effects from lithium prophylaxis at therapeutic serum levels. The symptoms included disorientation, aphasia, ideatoric apraxia, parkinsonism, restlessness and severe sleep disorder. The patient fully recovered after stopping lithium.
