Major Research Findings

Brigatinib has been shown to be effective in treating ALK-positive non-small cell lung cancer in several studies. 2 reports a case where brigatinib showed therapeutic effects on ALK-positive lung squamous cell carcinoma. 3 indicates that brigatinib is effective as a treatment for Crizotinib-resistant patients. Brigatinib has also been shown to be effective as a first-line treatment for newly diagnosed ALK-positive patients, as shown in 3 .

However, brigatinib is also known to cause various side effects. 5 suggests that reactive intermediates formed during the metabolism of brigatinib may be responsible for side effects. 6 indicates that the incidence of lung toxicity due to brigatinib is higher than that of other ALK inhibitors.
