Some studies have shown that clindamycin vaginal cream is equally or more effective than oral metronidazole for treating BV. 23 , 1 , 3 , , 5

Moreover, clindamycin vaginal cream has been suggested as a suitable option for BV treatment in early pregnancy. 1
