Main Findings

Several studies have shown flunisolide nasal spray to be effective in treating both seasonal and perennial allergic rhinitis. 2 , 3 , and 5 all reported that flunisolide nasal spray was superior to placebo in reducing symptoms such as sneezing, nasal congestion, and runny nose. This improvement led to better sleep quality and overall quality of life for patients.

4 compared flunisolide nasal spray to another medication, budesonide nasal spray, and found both were effective in controlling nasal symptoms. However, the study reported a significantly higher number of patients using flunisolide experienced nasal irritation.
