Several studies have shown that risperidone is effective in treating mental disorders such as schizophrenia, autism spectrum disorder, and bipolar disorder. 11 In the risperidone group, there was a significant improvement in response time, seat movement, and static tremor in a short-term memory task compared to the placebo group. 9 showed that risperidone was significantly superior to placebo in improving the total Positive and Negative Syndrome Scale (PANSS) score in hospitalized patients with schizophrenia experiencing an acute exacerbation. showed that risperidone had a faster onset of antipsychotic activity and significantly fewer extrapyramidal symptoms compared to haloperidol.
