Overview

Idarubicin is a chemotherapy drug that is less vulnerable to MDR1-mediated transport than daunorubicin. This study found that combining idarubicin with a short course of cyclosporin A may be a more effective and less toxic option than daunorubicin plus continuous infusion cyclosporin A in patients with MDR1-positive leukemias.
