This study evaluated the effects of 70 Gy versus 78 Gy of radiotherapy on prostate cancer-specific quality of life in patients 2 and 3 years after treatment. The study found that 78 Gy did not increase bladder or sexual side effects compared to 70 Gy at 3 years. However, 78 Gy did result in more frequent bowel movements at 3 years. Overall, rectal bleeding improved, erectile function decreased, and urinary urge incontinence increased between 2 and 3 years after radiotherapy.
