Overview

The levonorgestrel-releasing intrauterine system (LNG-IUS) was found to be an effective and well-accepted option for the medical management of menorrhagia. In a prospective, open, nonrandomized clinical trial, 77.7% of patients experienced a cure at 3 months, and all patients were cured at 36 months.
