Cefdinir (CFDN) in fine granule preparations was found to be safe and effective for treating pediatric bacterial infections. While the 5% fine granules were more commonly accepted by children, both the 5% and 10% fine granules showed similar efficacy, with excellent results in 30 and 8 patients, respectively. Minor side effects included eosinophilia and diarrhea.
