Overview

Ziprasidone is a second-generation antipsychotic with similar efficacy to quetiapine or aripiprazole, but inferior to olanzapine or risperidone in treating schizophrenia. It also has minimal prolactin effects, is not anticholinergic, and rarely causes extrapyramidal side effects or postural hypotension.
