Overview

This study found that IL-2 treatment in melanoma patients resulted in a significant increase in LAK cell activity and lymphocyte subsets, particularly CD56+ cells. These immunological responses were observed even after pretreatment with cytotoxic chemotherapy. However, the study did not find a correlation between these immune responses and antitumor effects.
