Simple assessment of quality of life and lower limb functional capacity during cilostazol treatment - results of the SHort-tERm cIlostazol eFFicacy and quality of life (SHERIFF) study.

Overview

This study investigated the effects of cilostazol treatment on quality of life and lower limb functional capacity in 802 patients with intermittent claudication. The study found a significant improvement in quality of life, measured by the EQ-5D-3L index, and functional capacity, measured by the WELCH questionnaire, after three months of treatment. Pain-free and maximal walking distance also improved significantly. Only 10 patients experienced adverse events, and 1 patient stopped treatment due to side effects.
