Original Abstract of the Article :
BACKGROUND AND AIMS: Adequate bowel cleansing is critical to ensure quality and safety of a colonoscopy. A novel 1-L polyethylene glycol plus ascorbate (1L-PEG+ASC) regimen was previously validated against low-volume regimens but was never compared with high-volume regimens. METHODS: In a phase IV ...See full text at original site

Polyethylene Glycol: A New, Efficient Regimen for Colonoscopy Cleansing
Adequate bowel cleansing is crucial for a successful colonoscopy, but traditional high-volume polyethylene glycol (PEG) regimens can be challenging for patients. This study evaluated a novel 1-L PEG plus ascorbate (1L-PEG+ASC) regimen for colonoscopy cleansing compared to a high-volume 4-L PEG regimen. The study found that the 1L-PEG+ASC regimen achieved non-inferiority to the 4-L PEG regimen in terms of bowel cleansing quality, with a higher patient compliance rate. The 1L-PEG+ASC regimen also demonstrated similar safety and tolerability profiles compared to the 4-L PEG regimen. This study suggests that the 1L-PEG+ASC regimen offers a more patient-friendly and effective option for bowel cleansing prior to colonoscopy.Polyethylene Glycol: A More Patient-Friendly Approach to Bowel Cleansing
This study highlights the potential of a novel 1-L PEG plus ascorbate (1L-PEG+ASC) regimen to provide a more patient-friendly and effective alternative to traditional high-volume PEG regimens for bowel cleansing prior to colonoscopy. The findings demonstrate that the 1L-PEG+ASC regimen achieves comparable cleansing quality with higher patient compliance, potentially improving the overall experience for patients undergoing colonoscopy.Polyethylene Glycol: A Smoother Journey for Colonoscopy Patients
Navigating the complexities of bowel preparation for colonoscopy can be a challenging experience. This study provides evidence that a novel 1-L PEG plus ascorbate (1L-PEG+ASC) regimen offers a smoother and more patient-friendly approach, potentially making the entire process less daunting for individuals undergoing colonoscopy.Dr. Camel's Conclusion
This study provides compelling evidence that a novel 1-L PEG plus ascorbate (1L-PEG+ASC) regimen offers a more patient-friendly and effective alternative to traditional high-volume PEG regimens for bowel cleansing prior to colonoscopy. The findings demonstrate that the 1L-PEG+ASC regimen achieves comparable cleansing quality with higher patient compliance, potentially improving the overall experience for patients undergoing colonoscopy.Date :
