Original Abstract of the Article :
BACKGROUND: In mild psoriasis, topical agents remain the mainstay of treatment. However, the available treatments are not satisfactory for a significant proportion of patients in many terms such as efficacy and safety. Because of these deficits, augmentation of therapeutic effect seems desirable. T...See full text at original site

A New Approach to Plaque Psoriasis Treatment: Combining Topical Cyclosporine and Fractional CO2 Laser
This randomized comparative study evaluates the efficacy of topical cyclosporine cream delivered by fractional CO2 laser therapy compared to topical clobetasol cream in treating plaque psoriasis. The study included 22 patients with chronic plaque psoriasis affecting less than 10% of their body surface area. The results showed that laser-assisted delivery of topical cyclosporine provided comparable clinical and pathological improvement to clobetasol cream, suggesting a potential alternative treatment approach for mild plaque psoriasis. While topical steroid showed slightly greater improvement, the study highlights the potential of laser-assisted topical cyclosporine for managing mild psoriasis.
Exploring Innovative Therapies for Plaque Psoriasis
This study demonstrates the potential of combining topical cyclosporine with fractional CO2 laser therapy in treating mild plaque psoriasis. The findings suggest that this innovative approach could offer an alternative option for patients who do not respond well to traditional treatments. Further research is needed to evaluate the long-term effectiveness and safety of this approach.
Addressing the Needs of Psoriasis Patients: Seeking Effective and Safe Solutions
This study highlights the ongoing search for effective and safe treatment options for psoriasis. The research encourages exploration of innovative therapies that address the needs of patients and provide alternative approaches to traditional treatment methods. It's a reminder that even in the vast desert of dermatological research, there are always new oases waiting to be discovered.
Dr.Camel's Conclusion
This study shows how innovative approaches to psoriasis treatment, like combining topical cyclosporine with laser therapy, are like finding a hidden oasis in a desert. It's a reminder that we should be open to new ideas and explore different pathways for treating this challenging condition. Like a camel searching for a water source in the desert, we need to be persistent and innovative in our quest for better treatments.
