Overview

Clobazam can be a safe and tolerable add-on treatment for older adults with drug-resistant epilepsy. 40% of patients were seizure-free and 45% had more than 50% reduction in seizure frequency at 12 months. The mean seizure frequency at 12 months was 1.5 seizures per month. However, 76.9% of patients reported at least one side effect and 23% discontinued the medication within a month of initiation.
