Overview

Statin treatment in patients with advanced atherosclerosis and arterial occlusion in the lower extremities resulted in improvement of claudication interval. In patients with baseline dyslipidaemia, statins showed a protective effect. The study observed improvement in the prooxidation state, which followed the dynamics of improvement in the impaired blood lipid spectrum.
