The drug appeared to be effective, with 74% of subjects aborting within 24 hours and 95% aborting within 48 hours. However, a significant number of subjects experienced side effects, including emesis, diarrhea, shivering, and fever. The use of a medication regimen to attenuate side effects did not interfere with the abortifacient or oxytocic effects of the drug.
