Overview

A study of 400 patients with warts found that a combination of cryotherapy, keratolytic paint, and paring resulted in a 52% cure rate after 3 months. The chance of cure was lower for patients with a longer history of warts and larger warts. Paring improved the cure rate for plantar warts but not hand warts. After an additional 3 months of treatment, the cure rate dropped to 41%, and neither continued cryotherapy nor inosine pranobex significantly improved the outcome.
