Overview

Captopril and eprosartan, two antihypertensive drugs, were compared in patients with heart failure after myocardial infarction. Both drugs improved left ventricular ejection fraction, but only in patients with viable myocardium did they improve myocardial perfusion and reduce left atrial dimensions.
