Overview

The study examined the binding of 17 neuroleptics to muscarinic M2 receptors in human heart atrium. Thioridazine was the most potent compound, while molindone was the least potent. Few neuroleptics showed selectivity for M1 over M2 receptors, which could potentially reduce side effects.
