Overview

Platinum-based doublets are the standard of care for first-line systemic therapy for non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). No single agent is superior to others when combined with platinum. While the addition of bevacizumab to carboplatin and paclitaxel showed improved survival, its applicability is limited. In patients aged 70 or older or with ECOG performance status 2, a single agent is an alternative.
