Dronedarone, a drug used to prevent atrial fibrillation (AF) recurrence, was found to have mixed safety profiles in clinical trials. However, OBS studies showed a trend toward better survival compared to RCTs, particularly for cardiovascular mortality. The study concluded that dronedarone is not associated with an increased risk of death and should be used cautiously when combined with digoxin.
