Overview

Pirprofen was as effective as aspirin, ibuprofen, indomethacin, ketoprofen, naproxen, piroxicam and sulindac in treating rheumatoid arthritis, osteoarthritis, ankylosing spondylitis, musculoskeletal disorders and non-articular rheumatism. It was also effective in treating acute pain, and appeared to cause fewer side effects than aspirin.
