Overview

This 8-week study evaluated the short-term effects of raloxifene on bone turnover, serum lipids, and endometrium in healthy postmenopausal women. Raloxifene was found to have similar bone-protective effects as estrogen, significantly reducing bone turnover markers compared to placebo. Raloxifene also improved lipid profiles, reducing LDL-C and increasing HDL-C:LDL-C ratios. Importantly, raloxifene did not stimulate the endometrium, unlike estrogen.
