This suggests that ciclesonide can effectively reach the target area in the lungs to reduce inflammation. 11 showed that ciclesonide is as effective as other inhaled corticosteroids in controlling asthma.

Reasons for Side Effects

Ciclesonide is a prodrug that is activated in the lungs. 15 This means that it is not active until it reaches the lungs, which can help to reduce the risk of side effects.
