Main Findings

Hydrocodone bitartrate combined with nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) may be more beneficial than NSAIDs alone in treating pain and inflammation from acute soft tissue trauma. However, opiate side effects, such as sedation and impaired cognitive and motor performance, may occur. 2
