This study compared laparoscopic electrocautery (burning) to six months of danazol therapy in 90 patients with moderate endometriosis. After treatment, 44% of patients who had electrocautery conceived, compared to 39% of those who took danazol. There was no statistically significant difference between the groups. No complications were reported in the electrocautery group. The study concludes that electrocautery is a safe and effective treatment for moderate endometriosis.
