Overview

Kaposi sarcoma (KS) is a type of cancer that affects the blood and lymph vessels, primarily the skin. It is caused by a virus called human herpesvirus-8 (HHV-8) in more than 90% of cases. There are four types of KS. Chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL) associated with KS is a rare condition.
