Overview

A study of 45 patients with glaucoma and uncontrolled eye pressure compared three different laser trabeculoplasty techniques. The study found that while all three groups showed a reduction in eye pressure after four weeks, the group receiving 100 spots over 360 degrees (group 1) had significantly more eyes with a greater than 12mmHg reduction in pressure compared to the other groups. Group 2, with 50 spots over 180 degrees, tended to have the fewest eyes requiring medication reduction.
