Main Research Findings

Sofosbuvir/velpatasvir is a highly effective pan-genotypic treatment regimen for hepatitis C virus (HCV) infection. 12 . It has been associated with significant improvement in patient-reported outcomes. 12 . The regimen is generally well-tolerated and has a shorter treatment duration compared to older interferon-based therapies. 10 . However, rare cases of iatrogenic Cushing syndrome have been reported. 2 . In addition, research suggests that sofosbuvir/velpatasvir may also be effective in treating patients with early mild to moderate COVID-19. 5 .

Reasons for side effects
