Amiloride can also be used as a diuretic, which helps remove excess water from the body through the kidneys, thus reducing body fluid levels and lowering blood pressure. , 11

Amiloride can also be used as an anti-aldosterone medication, blocking the effects of aldosterone, further reducing sodium levels and lowering blood pressure. 18 , 17
