Main Research Findings

Anastrozole is a medication commonly used to treat hormone-sensitive breast cancer in postmenopausal women. It works by blocking the production of estrogen in the body, which helps to slow down the growth of breast cancer cells. Anastrozole can be used alone or in combination with tamoxifen. The effectiveness of anastrozole has been confirmed in various studies. 4 , 16 , 19 , 3 , 20 , 11 , 18 , 21 , 6 , 10 , 8 , 15 , 5 , 12 , 2 , 1 , 13 , 17 , 9 , 14 These studies suggest that anastrozole may help to slow down the progression of breast cancer and improve survival.
