Major Research Findings

Ubrogepant is a new type of medication used for the acute treatment of migraines. Ubrogepant works by binding to the receptor for calcitonin gene-related peptide (CGRP), which is believed to be involved in causing migraines, and blocking the action of CGRP. 3 Ubrogepant has been shown to be effective and safe in treating migraines, showing significant effects compared to placebo. 13 3

Ubrogepant has also been found to be effective when administered during the prodrome of a migraine attack. 3 Ubrogepant has been shown to be effective for migraines with mild to moderate pain. 13 Ubrogepant is expected to accelerate the disappearance of headaches and the restoration of normal function compared to placebo. 4
